The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?
The teachers I had were highly qualified and very interesting, it was a pleasure to learn with them. The "bonus lessons" of the intensive course offered friendly and great occasions of improving listening and speaking skills, in very small groups. Our teacher was adapting the content to our needs and preferences everyday.
The "bad" side was only that my level was not easy to assess at the beginning: I hadn't been speaking German for about 10 years, so my output was very poor at first, but my reading and grammar skills were still quite good, so I got a little bored sometimes. I would have liked to be more challenged after a few days, and put in a class that would have been more focused on communication (like the "intensive" one). Anyway, the placement test on the very first day was complete and very well designed: I think it's an efficient tool for assessing the students with more classical profiles.

GLS is a really good and enjoyable school for learning German. As a primary school teacher and foreign language teacher myself, I can tell!
And it's located in a cool area in Berlin... :)
