The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?

GLS has a great atmosphere, very good teachers, a good variety of activities and offersmgood value for money. It is not a cheap school, so my expectations were high once I started. I am happy to say I am very pleased with the system, the course and the teachers. I like it that the classes are not too big and that the focus is more on speaking than on anything else. The teachers have a great attitude towards teaching a new language and I find them quite motivating and engaged in the process. The down side is that eventually you could get stuck in a very quiet class or have a teacher that does not fulfill your expectations. The good part is that the school is flexible and the students can ask to change. The worst thing about the school is the coffee!

Your recommendations for other students

I recommend that you don't settle for a class or teacher that you are not happy with. Ask to change. There are great teachers in the school. And there's a lot of flexibility in the course, so talk to your teacher and tell him/her what you wish to learn, or ask for recommendations and exercises to improve your german. They've always been super helpful when I've asked for extra help. Take the course seriously and you will learn german faster than you think. Participation is key so engage as much as you can. And take part in the afternoon activities in order to see Berlin and to meet other students.
