The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?
My studies at GLS have always been both helpful and enjoyable. I think that I have studied with you five or six times, the first time in 2001 and most recently earlier this month. Your newer facilities give you more opportunities than the ones on Kolonnenstrasse, but the level of excellence of the teaching staff has remained first class. This year my teacher in the first hour was equal to the best with whom I have studied over the years. The teacher of the second hour wasn't quite as good.
I really don't know much about the campus facilities other than classrooms and the internet room, since I have never stayed on campus, but everything seems to be in good shape.
I have taken part in only a few after-class activities - most notably a trip to a NAZI concentration camp, a museum in Berlin, and a trip to Leipzig - but these have all been excellent, and other students seem to enjoy taking part in many of them.
The home-stay accommodations have all been quite adequate or better. My friend in Berlin can no longer take care of me there, but because of my age (77) it's not likely that I will be able to come back, though I certainly would like to do so.

Young people, remember that age is on your side when you are learning any language. Make the most of the opportunities you have!
