The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?
I had some really good teachers who I feel I learned a lot from. I enjoyed going to class very much and I felt the course reeinforced many important topics. However I feel the test at the beginning isn't a very accurate assessment. I tend to get nervous when testing in addition to the gap in German classes,
When tested I found i scored in a lower level class and became very bored. I did move up my second week but I still spent 25% of my stay reviewing things I already knew. I would have liked it more if we learned newer material. The accommodation was awful, solely because of the location. I had a shared flat in Pankow. It was a lovely, clean flat but in a dead area. I lived far from school and the center of anything which made it very difficult to socialize in the evenings both in and out of school. Had I lived somewhere more central, I feel I would have been more exposed to the culture and language, which was the entire purpose of going to Berlin.
Your recommendations for other students
Go to class. It seems so easy to skip, mostly because it is. But you get out of the program exactly what you put in.
