The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?
I really appreciate how the program effectively teaches both the concepts and how to really use the language in daily life! On the other hand, sometimes the teachers prioritize getting experience over correcting every little thing; so while I get lots of practice and feel VERY comfortable exploring the language, I feel like I could be progressing a little bit faster per week.
Your recommendations for other students
Oftentimes the biggest drain on classes are other classmates who either don't show up often enough or do enough practice on their own. While it's great that we have teachers who are attentive to our various levels of skill on a day to day basis - it's nice having such small class sizes! - it is VERY obvious if you slack off. It's also important to get outside of the GLS bubble and spend some time speaking to native German speakers on your own, which can be really encouraging, so use your actual time off wisely and you'll get plenty out of it!
