The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?
I love everything about GLS. I love my teachers, and I love the facilities. I only wish that 1) there were some more vegan options in the restaurant, 2) that the courses weren't so expensive, and 3) that there were a quiet study room or library just for students after-hours. (I would use classrooms a lot of the time, but I would get kicked out when a class would come in or when the security would come around after 8 at night.)
Your recommendations for other students
Over the course of the last four years, I have been to GLS 4 times, and I learned all of my German there. I started knowing almost no German in summer 2009 and just passed the B2 Goethe Exam in April 2013. I just kept coming back to GLS whenever I had a break in my studies. GLS is probably one of my favorite places to be. Everyday feels like an exciting vacation activity, if you're truly excited about learning German. And being in Berlin, especially Prenzlauer Berg, is also so much fun in the summer. I'd recommend GLS to anyone interested in learning German in a fun, but professional atmosphere with wonderful teachers and resources.
