The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?
I found all the classes very interesting, teachers natural and nice, always ready to help with highly individual approach to every student. I stayed only for two weeks, which was not enough to notice considerable progress. Yet, I came back with a huge motivation to learn German. A certain drawback was the quantity of homework (at higher levels), which left little space to explore Berlin on weekdays. Also, the equipment of classrooms varies from smartboard to next to nothing. A new textbook given at C-level every week, but hardly opened (mostly work with photocopies).
Your recommendations for other students
I would definitely recommend GLS - the school is highly professional and dynamic. Its administration quick and efficient. The accomodation on campus very practical, clean and quiet, although the pictures on the website might be somewhat misleading. September is a good time, if you want to avoid crowded classes (in fact, I was alone for three days in a standard course of maximum 12 students!). Prenzlauer Berg is also a charming place to stay!
