The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?
What I liked best:
The campus is lovely and located in a great neighborhood.
The after-class activities that I participated in were interesting and really helped as a supplement to the course work.
My instructors were very helpful and clearly explained everything.
Suggested improvements:
More tours as part of the after class activities. The two that I went on were fantastic, but there were only two offered in the month I was there.
I would've appreciated more free conversation time in class. I got a little frustrated at times with the constant grammar corrections. I understand that I need to learn the grammar, but I needed more practice with communicating too. Maybe an hour a week or so where we just converse with minimal corrections.
Tandem partner program - perhaps I've missed this in information in the school, but I would like to continue my students and keep practicing with German speakers and am finding this difficult.
Your recommendations for other students
Immerse yourself! The after-class activities were like getting extra instruction for free/low cost as they were all in German. For most of them, the German spoken was very simple and most levels were accommodated. I was B1 level; I followed along fine and most of the time learned new things.
