A definitely great place to learn German. Try to get an accommodation in the same area to enjoy it.

The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?

The good:

The flexibility of GLS: It great just to go at any time of the year and find a course available for you.

The building is nicely done and decorated. It is also situated in one of the coolest spot of Berlin.

The friendliness of the staff. I want to thank again Franziska Junk for helping me to find a flat. She seemed to be very busy at the reception but she still managed to find the spare time to find a flat for me. I really appreciated her help.

The bad:

Although I was very happy with the flat I was accommodated by the Brandenburg Gate I found it a bit too far from the school and public transport wasn't direct to go to the school. I will definitely won't take it in winter. It is a shame that alternative accommodation from the campus is not located closer to the school. The area where the school is placed is ideal to walk around after course and mingle with locals to practice your german. The area of the Brandenburg Gate is not as cool. It is rather ok for tourists but not for students.

Your recommendations for other students

Definitely go for the GLS. It is a great place to learn German.

Don't use the accommodation by the Brandenburg Gate, specially in winter. It is not conveniently located in regards to the school and the neighbourhood is not the most animated in Berlin. Stay the closest to the school that you can. You will enjoy this area a lot more.
