A women-led family business
GLS was founded in 1983 by the Berlin entrepreneur Barbara Jaeschke, who still runs the company today, now together with her daughters Dr. Verena Jaeschke (left) and Dr. Reemda Jaeschke (right).
GLS history
What began as a one woman show in 1983, is now a company with 150 employees and a 16,000 m² campus with a school & 2 hotels in the very center of Berlin.

Students can have their German courses with GLS recognized for university degrees, i.e. earn academic credits at GLS..

GLS betreibt den GLS Campus in Berlin mit Deutschkursen für Erwachsene sowie Sommercamps für Jugendliche. GLS ist Sprachschule und Sprachreiseveranstalter. Zu den Programmen gehören Sprachreisen für Schüler und Erwachsene, High School Schüleraustausch im Ausland und die Vermittlung von Auslandspraktika.
