Geschichte
Auf dem GLS Campus sind 5 Häuser, die Geschichte reflektieren: Das älteste Haus ist von 1867, das jüngste wurde erst 1960 auf Trümmern des 2. Weltkriegs gebaut. Alle 5 Häuser haben immer als Schulen gedient - ob unter Kaiser Wilhelm II, unter Hitler oder nach dem Krieg in der DDR.2005 hat der Berliner Senat alle Gebäude an GLS verkauft. GLS hat die Häuser modernisiert und umgebaut - zu einer Sprachschule mit eigenen Guesthouses.
Berlin history
This old school - or more precisely: what is left oft it (it was bombed and partly destroyed in WW II) - now houses some of the GLS studio-apartments where you can stay while doing your German course. All apartments are refurbished classrooms. More photos about Berlin history
1961
This building - built as a public school shortly after the construction of the Berlin Wall in 1961 - now accommodates some of the GLS classrooms (virtual tour). The ground floor was rebuilt into a restaurant (virtual tour).
